The "tripper" game

I don't endorse this game mind you, but this is what the boys and Daddy do when Mommy and Avary are out shopping. Just waiting for a broken bone. It is bound to happen.

2nd Annual Christmas pageant

Christmas 2007

We celebrated the birth of our Savior with some sweet friends this season. We had our 2nd annual Christmas eve dinner with the Allens. The kids get to make their own pizzas, have "Happy birthday day Jesus cake," and act out the Christmas story. It was such a great time. We spent Christmas dinner with the Shaks. It was so much fun. The dog, Julius, is the only picture I have from their house. We hope y'all had a very blessed Christmas as well.

Mid day bath conversations

Today my sweet children decided to take naps in shifts. So Dylan was the first up followed by Tyler. They decided that since it was so cold, maybe they could take a warm bath. Great!! When Tyler talks to Dylan, he talks to him in baby talk. Here is a little snap shot of their bath time conversation.
Ty: "Ok Dylan what is this?" (pulling on Dylan's thumb)
Dylan: "A finger."
Ty: "what kind of finger?"
Dylan:" A baby finger."
Ty, laughing so hard tried to tell him it is a thumb. Dylan looked at him in amazement and said, "a thumb??!!"

Then Ty says, "Dylan I am a shark, I gonna get you."
Dylan starts to scream and says, "I will get you little baby shark with my tooth brush!!."

Post bath, they got out and got dressed and decided to "fix their hair."

Here is Tyler's drawing of Daddy and Cowabunga (Chris Klotz) with beards in Africa playing soccer. He is so proud of it!

Anything for candy......

This is at Tait and Grayson's birthday party! Everyone got a chance to hit the mailbox. When it was Ty's turn, you could see it in his eyes that he would do ANYTHING for some candy!!

Priceless

We are THANKFUL!!!

Here are just a few faces of our sweet friends that loved on the boys, Avary, and myself while Dustin was gone.

Thank you everyone for all the dinners, play dates, sweet breaks, church plays, chuckie cheese trips, breakfasts, chick fil a lunches, back yard adventures, ginger bread houses......we feel incredibly blessed to have you in our lives. Thank you to all who prayed for us during Dustin's amazing adventures in Africa. Your prayers were truly "felt" as none of us got sick, hurt, or even too upset that Daddy was not around. We love you. (Not pictured is Celene Lloyd and The Cannon Family)

things we do to pass the time......

Play in a box full of peanuts!!!!! They had so much fun jumping around in these. I think CC and I may have had fun cleaning them all back up :-)

I had no idea there were so many ways to play on the play ground. I am not sure if they just slide down like normal anymore. Boys are so wildley creative. Sometimes makes me a bit nervous. No wonder we have had 5 broken bones!

We went to our close friends house, Jaden , Josiah, and Jace Garrett, to roast marshmellows in the middle of the afternoon. It was fun!! Good thing we did it last week, since this week it has been in the 80's!!!!

We all took an adventure up town to eat lunch at Brixx Pizza and then went to the Imagine On Center. We were a bit out of place at lunch with 7 children 5 and under during buisness lunch hour. It was great.

Again with our friends, The Garretts....the "big kids" decorated cookies, the "medium boys" played outside, and the "babies" slept, while Mary Catherine and I drank coffee and chatted.

Sanu.....

Or "hello" from Nigeria.....Here is a snap shot from Dustin.(written to me)
"Things went well yesterday. We drove 3 hours to Jos. We are staying at a baptist guest house. It is nice and a place SIM has used a lot. We had a game against a high school team, it was fun but not very competitive. It is a school that Sports Friends work with. A lot of missionary kids there. Then we had a time of worship that night at the guest house which was awesome. Had a good night sleep, then we got up today, split into three groups and went and worked with three different teams that sports friends are working with. It was great. Our team had about 30 guys. It is probably the least tied to sports friends right now, but we hope we made a good connection for them. Then we just had lunch and we are off to be with more teams in an hour or so. Oh yeah, our team had to leave late today because to today is sanitation day. The city shuts all the roads and everyone cleans up the trash out on the roads. So me and a guy named Peter went into the a local ghetto neighborhood. It was a lot of fun, just walking around playing with kids, taking pictures and smiling at them with the love of Jesus. I met a mom and her two month old daughter. She was cute. And another mom and a one year old boy. His name is God Send. pretty cool. I can't wait to get everyone back over here to Africa, God really has put this place on my heart. God is doing amazing things and the people are amazing and it it a place I want to serve together. It is awesome!!"

Continue to cover them in your prayers. We appreciate all of your prayers, emails, calls, and early morning breakfast invites for the kiddos and I! (thx KJ:-)
