Who loves to do chores?!

Ty and Bryce for sure!! They love their new chores. Thanks to my friend Jamie, who gave me the suggestion, the boys bathroom stays cleaner all the time!! Every night after all "the teeth bugs" are gone and all have gone potty, the boys get to clean the bathroom. They each get one clorox wipe. Ty gets to clean the potty and Bryce the sink. (Dylan gets to "clean" the tub with a baby wipe.) It is so great! They love to do it and love washing their hands afterwards with the "special soap" so "no one gets sick".

Here Dylan is protesting bed time. He could stay in the bathroom for hours filling dixie cups up with water just to dump them out again.

Shovels + red mud = dirty, dirty boys!

Today has been a busy one! I got up this morning for my run and returned in time to help dig new holes for our plants that were moved for our new deck! Then Dust ran out to do his soccer pals and returned so Ava and I could have a "girls day out!" Mean while, Dust and the boys took a 1 1/2 hour trip to Lowes to get dirt and the starts of our deck. (daddy and the boys are building it) Here you can see just how much the boys LOVE to play in the dirt and dig lots and lots of very deep holes. It really took 3 wash downs in the shower to get most of the red clay off of them!
Here is sweet Avary after a long girls day! We went to star bucks to meet Angie! We then went to Marshalls, Kohl's, Target, and of course Q'doba for lunch. It was a great 4 hours of much needed Angie time! Fun to catch up without 10 kids running around us. :-) We then met Kathy at Dilworth Coffee Shop for some good catch up time before running off to the chiropractor. We got home in time to let Daddy rinse off the red clay and head to the "Wise Man Iron Man" that he is doing the next two days!!

Team Kenya!

The boys will start soccer next week. Their first soccer league!! They are so excited. They went with Daddy, their coach, to pick up their uniforms last Tuesday night. They put them on right away after picking their numbers. Ty, 8, because it was as close to the same number as Daddy's that he could get (18). Bryce, 4, because he is going to be 4 soon. (January) Wednesday they woke up in their jerseys and played in them all day. Then went to bed in them. Thursday morning they woke in them , played in them all day. That night when they showered, I grabbed them and put them in the laundry hamper. We got them to sleep in different soccer jerseys that night. When I got from my run Friday morning, they were back in the dirty jerseys!! They took them from the hamper and put them on. So gross!! I told them they were too dirty to wear and Bryce said, "it is ok Mom, I wiped mine off with water." Saturday morning I took them and tossed them into the washer this time!!!! Next Tuesday is our first practice. The boys can't wait!!! It is going to be so much fun and very interesting as the boys are very competitive! We don't keep score for the 5 year old team. Yeah right!!! Good luck with that!!

A few high lights from the week

So we got a new sprinkler this week! The boys love it. I went inside to change Ava's diaper and by the time I had come back out (not too long, mind you, changing #4, I can do that with my eyes closed), they were all over in the mud. Their faces were classic when they saw me and I told them to come here in the most stern voice I could muster through my suppressed giggles. I told them to put their arms around each other and to smile. They just started to laugh so hard. So funny!

Then Dylan woke from his nap and it was his turn to run in the sprinkler. And yup, you guessed it, he found himself a nice mud puddle too. Boys and the mud! They are born with the desire to be dirty!

This could be the best five dollar investment. This musical game can keep them busy for at least an hour! Ty has gotten pretty good at it. Here they are with their best bud Jaden, after a quick, mud free run through the sprinkler!

Avary girl sure is getting big and changes everyday! She is started to hold her head up for a bit and looking at everything around her. The boys love it when she waves her arms and "hits" them in the face. Here is Miss Avary getting "bounced" by her big brother. Not sure she liked it much!

Dylan aka Wild Man

We often get asked, "how do your boys always break their bones??!!" Well, here is Dylan, 2 days after getting his cast on. These were taken in a 30 minute period. None of these were staged. I was putting away laundry and every time I turned around he was jumping off the couch, climbing onthe top bunk, or riding on the back of the couch! This here is why my sweet boys have broken bones. If they can't go outside to play soccer, they are jumping off whatever they can find in the house. The joys of having boys!! Avary and I already talked about her not breaking any bones. Come on, throw up some prayers my way! NO MORE BROKEN BONES!!!!

Life at the Swineharts

Miss Priss is growing so fast. I feel like she changes every single day! Everyday I look at her I notice someone different in her. She is so beautiful!

The boys look so sweet here! Won't tell you that it took all I had to get them all to smile at the same time and to stop fighting over who got to hold "the little princess". Ahh! But aren't they sweet:-)

The boys first tube slide experience at Carowinds!! They loved it!!!All six of us made the trip. Even Ava got to ride in the lazy river!

Daddy never gets to mow the lawn with his new mower by himself!! Avary and I decided it is fun to be a girl and eat ice cream and watch!!

THe BIG PUMP IT UP birtrhday day party!! It was so much fun. My mom and sister started a family tradition that when you turn five you have your big party at Pump it Up. So we followed suit. It was a BLAST!! There was sweaty kids everywhere. Pizza and cake just topped it off.

Our sweet Avary is getting so big!! Here she is 4 weeks old. She still pretty much sleeps all day and all night. (well most nights)

Here we are making birthday cup cakes for Ty's 5th birthday!! Wow! He is 5! We were sad Daddy was in Ohio, but we made the best of it! Ty got to pick out what we ate and what we did all day long. So, we started out with "mommy's waffles" and a trip to the park. We then headed to Chick fil a for lunch with our friend Keri and Jaeda. After putting Dylan down for a nap, we did Ty's favorite thing! We practiced writing our ABC's and 123's. Kathy came and then we ran to get some goodies. We had pizza for dinner and movie night! We got to watch Curious George, our favorite!!

Kathy, one of the sweetest, most caring woman I have ever met! She called on her way back into town to see if she could give me a break and keep the kids! (Dust was out of town for the weekend) I mean, hello, who thinks of that!!?? She came over to hold sweet Ava, while Dylan napped, and the big boys and I ran to the store to get stuff to make birthday cup cakes and a new pair of crocs! The boys LOVED her and talked about her for the rest of the weekend. Thanks Kathy, we love you and are blessed to have you in our lives.

Here is Bryce being a silly little boy. Anytime the camera is out, they all decide it is time to be silly. I think we have a million tongue pictures of each boy.

I really can't believe it has been 2 weeks since I took this picture! Where does time go? Well here we see our sweet Dylan in his crib during nap time. He usually plays for awhile before he decides to lay down. This day was no different, except I still heard him playing an hour and a half later! So I resigned myself to the fact that today he was not going to sleep. I go up to get him and as soon as I walk up the stairs, I smell it!! I walk in and ask Dylan what he is doing. All he says is "poo poo mommy" and points to his bed. He says "I poo poo on potty Mommy." Well, little buddy, when Mommy puts a diaper on, you can poo in your diaper. He shows me where his diaper is (on the floor) and shows me how he wiped poo all over the rails, the sheet, his clothes, and his hair. Well needless to say, we threw him in the shower!
